Hometown?

Bend, OR

How did you get into Skiing?

Growing up in Bend it was hard to avoid winter sports. My mom worked at Bachelor, and thats where I spent my afternoons in "daycare".I started out skiing, then switched to snowboarding for the next 18 years. About 6 years ago I transitioned back into skiing.

What is your favorite shred spot?

Skibowl! It has such a small town feel, and when the snow is good there isn't a better place around. Great steeps and natural terrain.

Backcountry, Park, or Street?

Backcountry!

If you could have dinner with 3 people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

Travis Rice, he just seems like someone that would carry conversation well and he's interesting.

Danny Kass, just because i'm sure it would be a mess... but the entertainment value would sky rocket!

Mike Rowe, I'd like to hear his stories in person. Very smart, funny and he'd probably be able to keep Danny Kass in line.

What are your goals for this season?

Have more fun! We've had a couple of light winters. The forecast for this year is looking good, and I'm ready for it!

Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?

Thats tough. There are a lot of people that shaped how I view things. Either Travis Pastrana or Andy Parry. Travis Pastrana just takes everything one step farther that you think it can go, and all with a smile on his face. Andy Parry is who was the one that sparked my interest in skiing again. He just seems to alway have fun, for the most part. And he just seems down to earth.

What are 3 things you like to do outside of Snowboarding?

Outside of skiing, I love photography, restoring cars and of course being outside with my family.

Who are the top 3 bands/artists you're into right now?

Pierce the Veil, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, and The Story So Far

What sets you apart?

Stay focused and keep pushing! Don't worry about what everyone else is doing. Focus on your end goal, and keep working towards it. Not everything is easy or quick. Typically the good things aren't.

What advice would you give kids that want to make in your sport?

Don't take yourself too serously! Ski as much as you can, have a great time, and things will fall into place.

Other sponsors / supporters?

Snocru and my wife!
